Starting this coming week and lasting all month, the Danish film institute will be screening the films of Canadian wunderkind Xavier Dolan. Despite being only 26, Dolan has already directed five feature length films that have played at prestigious festivals such as Cannes and Venice. Dolan’s films explore themes such as homosexuality and familial relationships and are in part influenced by his own experiences. His latest film Mommy received wide praise, and Dolan was the co-recipient of the jury prize at Cannes along with Jean-Luc Godard. All of the films will be presented with English subtitles and each film will have multiple screenings over the course of the month.
